Privacy and cookies
What we collect, why, and how to change your mind. Short, because we do not collect much.
Rust Nation UK is run by Copia Events Ltd, which is the data controller for this site.
What the site collects
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies in your browser. You can decline this from the banner, and declining genuinely stops it.
The mailing list. If you give us your email address we store it in Campaign Monitor and use it to tell you about this conference. Nothing else, and we do not sell or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works.
Sponsorship enquiries. The form on the sponsor us page sends your name, email, company, chosen packages and message to Copia Events. We use it to reply to you.
Tickets. Tickets are sold by Ticket Tailor, who are a separate controller for the data you give them at checkout. Their privacy policy covers that, not this page.
Embedded video. Past talks are shown as a still image with a play button. Pressing play loads the video from youtube-nocookie.com, and from that point Google can see that you watched it. The still itself is served by Google from i.ytimg.com, so loading a page with talks on it tells them your IP address even if you never press play. Nothing else on the page does.

Scroll the table sideways for all columns
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept. Decline and they are never written, and any already there are deleted. We also use Vercel Analytics for page counts, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.
Changing your mind
Withdrawing consent has to be as easy as giving it, so this button does exactly what the Decline button does, whenever you want it to.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@rustnationuk.com and we will do it. If you are not happy with how we handle that, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
